A baked clay rectangular tablet with cuneiform inscription to both sides, and top and bottom edges; accompanied by an original old scholarly note, hand written and unsigned by W.G. Lambert, late Professor of Assyriology, University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: 'Old Babylonian / administrative document / about precious metals / eg. '50 minas of lead'. c. 1800 - 1600 BC.' 99 grams, 60mm (2 1/2").

Condition Fine condition.

Provenance Property of a London gentleman; part of his family collection since the 1970s; accompanied by an original hand written note by Professor W.G. Lambert.
